Sappho for Equality is delighted to share the launch of its newest venture, 'Porshi', a training facility with canteen (Qanteen) amenities. Porshi enables an endeavour where we would conduct various training programmes, starting from shed generation, skill building, and other such organic initiatives exclusively for and by Queer Trans persons who are marginalised on a daily basis in this heterosexist world.

 The Qanteen vouches to bring to your tables traditional Bengali meals and delicacies, occasionally mellowed with a western tarka. The food catalogue is priced affordably so that Queer Trans* People from diverse classes, castes, and other backgrounds can sign up to enjoy a non-heteronormative venue for fun, frolic, and other activities. The walls of 'Porshi' are framed with a queer library and a timeline of the LGBTQIA+ movement, signifying the necessity of continuing our resistances every day.

Porshi would also engage itself as a space to explore expressions of Queer Trans* artists and to venture into the world of creative healing.
